The diagnosis of electric machines is approached by the analysis of electric quantities (currents / voltages) at variable speed.
Order tracking without a mechanical sensor is the method developed in the laboratory. The mechanical position is estimated by automatic and signal processing tools. The measured quantities are sampled according to the estimated angle in order to obtain stationary spectra.
